Who We Are

It’s a brave new world. One which requires a brave new approach to how branding, marketing and business overall gets done. We’ve parlayed our decades of experience and our understanding of the new now into a philosophy and model for helping clients connect with their communities. Rooted in digital experience strategy and design, we work with clients on finding the right problems to solve and the most effective solutions to solve them, both online and off. All of this is delivered within a collaborative framework and business goal mindset. In each service offering – Agency: client brand platform solutions, Lab: exploratory ideation and consulting, Studio: new product and platform development – we work to translate ideas into meaningful experiences. Our Philosophy

Our culture is enamored with claiming success by getting a task done. Or hitting a predetermined target. If we can move it from the in box to the out box, victory is declared. If the “expectations market” has been addressed, we can breathe a sigh of relief. The reason we do this is because this is how everyone else does it, and how it’s always been done. We focus on tasks. And while tasks are not always easy to perform, the act of doing them is easy to understand.

What we need to do is think, plan, and create for an outcome.

    • Children (and pets) are always welcome at Translator. That extends not only to employees but guests, partners, and clients as well!

    • Translator is located in the 3rd Ward of MKE, there is lots of space around and the lake is nearby.

Employees have the following available on-site for their meals and breaks:

The following community building activities are available:

  • Company sponsored social get togethers
  • Holiday party(s) and activities

  • Project only work assignments 
  • Short-term temporary work assignments

Flexible scheduling options are available to salaried employees:

  • Choose the hours they work (start and stop times) within a range of hours 
  • Work from home occasionally      
  • Resources to work at hole are provided for those who work from home regularly
  • Work from an alternative (remote) location to accommodate a family crisis/need 

These flexible scheduling options are available on a case-by-case basis:

  • Part-time schedules
  • Choice of how the total number of work hours can be scheduled
  • Job-sharing
  • Change from full-time to part-time and maintain the same position
  • Work from home regularly
  • Determine the number of hours worked each day

The following tools are available so employees can work together with ease and flexibility:

  • Video conferencing

The following paid-time-off (PTO) options are available to employees:

  • Vacation time is unlimited if performance expectations are met or exceeded
  • Unused vacation time can be carried over to future
  • Utilize bereavement time off for the passing of their family and/or partners  
  • Take time off during the workday to attend to important family or personal needs without losing pay
  • Return to work gradually after childbirth or adoption 

The following paid-time-off (PTO) options are available on a case-by-case basis

  • Use of sick time for personal time or ill dependents      
  • Carry over unused sick to future years(s) 
  • Take an extended career break for care giving or other family responsibilities
  • Bereavement time off for the passing of their pet
  • Take a sabbatical after a certain level of longevity
