Our Philosophy

We believe in solving problems.  The challenges we face balancing growth and sustainability require innovative and imaginative solutions. 

It is our belief that water and energy sustainability is a community challenge, not simply a personal challenge.  Until now, the expectation of policymakers has been that you will conserve as an individual act – e.g., taking shorter showers, turning out the lights, fixing a leak, watering your grass less frequently.  Nearly all of the tips and suggestions that you will read on conservation or utility websites are of this sort.

But sustainability is not simply an individual problem.  It’s a community problem. When we run out of water, if our wells get polluted, or our reservoir runs dry, we suffer collectively.  So why not change the way we solve the problem? Why not solve the problem as a community rather than individually?

MeterHero provides, at a minimum, a living wage for 100% of their employees.

An Employee Handbook is available for review by all employees.

MeterHero offers an informal program and process for employees to offer suggestions and innovations that offers both review and recognition.

Employees have been surveyed regarding their satisfaction and engagement within the last 12 months.

Full-time employees are encouraged to volunteer and participate in community service outside of their scheduled work hours.

MeterHero monitors customer satisfaction in the following ways:

  • A written methodology to survey customers
  • Customers are surveyed quarterly for their level of satisfaction and input
  • Current results are measured against previous results with the goal of improvement
  • Current results are shared with employee population
  • Processes and operations are adjusted based on customer feedback from surveys

Customers are encourage to ask questions, give feedback or complain and comments and questions are published for public review.
